Physical Story sessions are designed to be great fun and purposeful. Through stories and movement, we work on themes such as being kind, discovering what makes you special, understanding that your actions affect others, managing fear and being brave, being able to stay calm and using deep breathing to think clearly. Getting kids thinking and physically moving their bodies simultaneously is so beneficial!

In these unique kids classes, children will:​

Gain an awareness of mindfulness through meaningful reflection
2023 TERM DATES:
Term 3: Tuesday, 25 July - Tuesday, 19 September
Term 4: Tuesday, 17 October - Tuesday, 12 December
OPTIONS TO PARTICIPATE
OPTION 1: Physical Story Session Only (3.15pm to 4.00pm)
Parents are encouraged to stay for the session and watch.

OPTION 2: After school Package (3pm to 5pm)

For tamariki attending from Ridgway school, parents only need to collect them.

Tamariki from other schools are very welcome to come to the two hour session, they will just need to brought to Ridgeway school.
Programme Schedule
3:00 - 3:15pm: Roll, afternoon tea and toilet break.
3:15 - 4:00pm: Physical story session
4:00 - 4:50pm: Crafts based on our story for the week.
4:50 - 5:00pm: Pack away - Handouts given to tamariki to take away with them.
4:55 - 5:00pm: Collection - by 5pm at the very latest please.

FEES
FOR OPTION 1: PHYSICAL STORY ONLY

$10 for a trial first class. Book it in. please. This can be paid in cash or via bank transfer on the day.

Then $100 will be due for the rest of the term sessions by the following week. However a discount will be applied for tamariki starting later into the term.

Returning tamariki are $110 a term payable at the start of term. ​

5% discount for whanau with two or more children attending.

FOR OPTION 2: AFTER SCHOOL PACKAGE

$25 for a trial first class. Book it in please. This can be paid in cash or via bank transfer on the day.

Then $205 will be due for the rest of the term sessions. This is due the following week. However a discount will be given to tamariki starting later into the term.

5% discount for whanau with two or more children attending.

Materials, such as yoga mats and crafts are supplied by Physical Stoires. Please bring/pack a snack and bottle water for your tamariki.
